Dear Comrades,

 

                In our last Circular letter issued after the National Council meeting at Mumbai we had emphasized the need for mobilizing our members for the Workers march to Parliament programme slated for 23rd Feb 2011. It is necessary that Confederation's name and honour are projected in a befitting manner in the assembly of workers on the 23rd Feb. We have given quota for each State Committee and expect them to overfulfill the said quota to make our participation in the programme impressive   We request the State secretaries to bestow their personal attention to this aspect.

 

                The affiliates are requested to kindly get in touch with their State/Circle leaders to take this programme with all seriousness and make it a grand success by enlisting large participation of members.  The CHQ has made arrangements for far outstation comrades for stay on 22nd and 23rd Feb. at Delhi.  Comrades may be advised to carry warm clothes as the climate in Delhi may be cold at that point of time.

 

                All organisations  are requested to carry their flags and banners  and if possible placard depicting the demands.  The names of the leaders of the groups from each State and affiliate may ne intimated to the Confederation CHQ. Confederation has prepared badges which will be distributed to the participants on the day of the rally.  Kindly intimate the cell phone numbers of the group leaders and the following cell phone numbers of the CHQ Sectt. Members may be given to them.

                The State Committees may organize Gate meetings in front of all offices to bring to the notice of the members the demands on which the March to Parliament is organized.  In this connection, please refer to the confederation website for the campaign material.

 

                We once again remind the Secretariat members and the Secretaries of the State Committees that a meeting of the CHQ Sectt. Along with the State Committee Secretaries will be held on the 24th Feb, 2011 at A/2/95 Rajouri Garden, New Delhi at 11.00AM.

 

                We also take this opportunity to request the leaders of the affiliated organistions to kindly send the intimation to the reception committee at Kolkata of the names of the women comrades being deployed to attend the National Women Convention of CGEs at Kolkata on 7th and 8th and their journey details with a copy of the letter being endorsed to the CHQ.

Arrangements for women convention Circular No.1/2011

Dear Comrade,

 

We send herewith a copy of the letter we have received from the West Bengal State Committee of the Confederation indicating the arrangements they have made for the first national women convention to be held on 7th and 8th Feb. 2011.  The Conference will have an open session at 3.00 which would be addressed by Com. Sudha Sundaraman, General Secretary, All India Democratic Women Association, New Delhi.  Many other leaders of the Trade Union movement are expected to convey their fraternal greeting at the open session.

 

The COC West Bengal has made arrangements for the stay of the delegates at the \venue itself and also at a hotel near the venue.  The State Committees and affiliates are requested to kindly intimate the reception committee of the exact time and date of arrival of the respective delegates at Kolkata so that the volunteers would be able to receive them and take to the venue and lodging place.  Kindly note that every delegate is expected to register themselves for attending the convention by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 50 per person.   The arrangement for stay etc. will commence from 6th and shall end on 8th.  All comrades are requested to carry their identity card issued by the concerned Department.  This is necessary to enable them to attend the meeting and stay at the venue as the hall is owned by the Government of West Bengal.  Any comrade delegate wishes to stay for further period of time at Kolkata they are requested to intimate  the same to the reception committee.  Kindly intimate the details to Com. Copy of letter from Com. Pijush Roy, General Secretary, West Bengal State Co ordination Committee, Kolkata addressed to the Secretary General, Confederation.

 

 Dear Comrade,

 

            As decided in National Council Meeting held in Mumbai on 1st December, 2010, 1st Women's Convention will be held in Kolkata on 7th & 8th February, 2011.

 

            An auditorium at Moulali Yuba Kendra, Moulali, Kolkata-14 has been booked for the Convention from the evening of 6th February, 2011 to the morning of 9th February, 2011.  Delegates will be accommodated in the dormitory located in the upstairs of the auditorium. Besides accommodation has been booked in Hotel Inox International, 113A, A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata-14 located across the road of the venue. The venue is only 2 minutes walk from Sealdah Railway Station. Delegates and Guests will have to carry identity Card for stay in Kolkata. This is in terms of recent circular of West Bengal Govt.

 

                       

Meals etc. Will be provided from the night of 6th February, 2011 (Dinner) to the morning of 9th February, 2011 (Breakfast).  Delegates may be suggested to carry light warm clothes.

 

            Number of Women Delegates and their male escorts (if any) alongwith arrival information (Train name and Number, time, name of Station, etc.) may please be communicated to the Joint Convenors of the Reception Committee in the e-mail of the Co-ordination Committee (with SMS intimation) or in the address given below. However, in the event of emergency Delegates may approach the Working President, Joint Convenors in the mobile number furnished below.
